Since my last post on my freshman year blog, so much has changed in my life. i Don’t even feel like the same person i was a year ago, much less a year and a half. because we’re already friends, let me update you on what i’ve been doing since January 2023:
- I became a Gaylord ambassador
- i published my first article
- i finished my first year of college with a 4.0
- i got an internship at the oklahoma bankers association
- i finished my time with dean’s leadership class
- i got my first credit card and started investing (still learning)
- i started living with my best friend in our sorority house
- i turned 20 and left my teenage years behind. praise the lord, and god bless my parents for dealing with me from ages 12-17.
- i signed a lease for junior year (yay!!)
- i wrote a story over my family history–my favorite piece i’ve ever written
- i published another story in gaylord news over my hometown and other stories for OBA
- i continued working at the OBA for another semester! a huge compliment!
- i met my new baby nephew earthside!! shepherd reagan!
- i became gaylord ambassadors director of external recruitment
- i started barre classes
- i entered my single era for the first time as an adult (and really first time ever)
- i got closer with my sorority sisters
- i used a typewriter for the first time…and linkedin
- i started avidly and habitually reading the news, and therefore, realized my frontal lobe is developing
- i should be finishing my second year with a 4.0, but i won’t speak too soon
SO much has happened since we last talked, reader, and it was so fun catching up with you!
