About me
My name is Kayden Anderson. I am from Vian, Oklahoma, a small eastern oklahoma lake town. After graduating high school in 2022, I moved to the University of Oklahoma to pursue a degree in journalism with a minor in digital marketing. During my time here, I have been a part of pi beta phi, gaylord ambassadors, gaylord news, gaylord’s dean’s leadership class and have held an internship at the oklahoma bankers association.
I have always loved writing, reading, traveling, hanging out with friends and family and spending time at Lake Tenkiller. I truly believe that growing up in a 1,000-person town shaped my identity. I love advocating for my home and other rural areas. Someday, I hope to pursue a career in print/digital journalism.
My Story
I started writing when i was seven years old. i wrote my first book, and my love for words took off. i always knew i wanted to go to school for it, but that path changed several times. i was interested in english then teaching, and, eventually, journalism, which is the best decision i’ve ever made. i can’t wait to share stories for the rest of my life, no matter the form.
